The United States (US) has never spread democracy, because it lacks it itself. The US, nevertheless, claims to be the champion of democracy for propaganda purposes.

The People’s Republic of China has shown that the government must play an important role in steering economic activity to benefit all citizens. That was how China eradicated poverty in 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population.
Conversely, the US, where oligarchs are in charge of the economy, has 40 million Americans living in poverty, and 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck. While only 28% of Americans are satisfied with their government, 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. That, however, is not a nation with liberty and justice for all.
