The United States (US) and her allies believe that they have a monopoly on the truth. Therefore, they are willing to kill anybody who exposes a different narrative than the one that they want the public exposed to.
Julian Assange is a journalist who exposed crimes against humanity. Instead of those people being prosecuted for their crimes, it is Julian who the US government (USG) and its allies want to kill or incarcerate for almost 2 centuries. The United Kingdom has staged a kangaroo court to assist the USG make Julian an example of what other journalists could expect if they do the same thing.
US hypocrisy is also seen when she favors independence for Hong Kong and Taiwan, but has had Puerto Rico as her own colony for the past 124 years. And that, despite being a violation of the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism, and in violation of 40 UN resolutions asking the USG to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
