Competition is a US threat

By Jose M. Lopez Sierra – Puerto Rico

Supposedly, one of the great things about capitalism is that it invites competition among the providers of goods and services. The United States (US), the champion of capitalism, however, discourages competition, because it only wants to benefit oligarchs. That is why any Chinese’s company that outperforms a US company automatically becomes a US  «national security threat». Please click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/MXtWaopXDwA

The idea behind the US’ deindustrialization was to have other nations cheaply produce the goods that the US designs, and make money through its intellectual property. Thus, the US has never been interested in really being the champion of democracy, but instead the champion of  the rich!

If that were not so, there wouldn’t be today 40 million Americans living in poverty, and 201 million living from paycheck to paycheck. China, on the other hand, has eradicated poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population.

And, if that were not so, US citizens would not be today only 28% satisfied with our government, while more than 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs.

Moreover, while the US claims to support Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence, it has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And in the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned our national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million who live in Puerto Rico live in poverty. https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i

The US is its own national security threat!

Jose M Lopez Ismael
