Champion of Hypocrisy

By José M. López Sierra

The United States (US) can’t be the champion of democracy, because it has always been the champion of hypocrisy.

The US is an artificial settler colonial state that committed genocide against the indigenous people of North America in order to establish itself. The US then quickly prospered economically, via the enslavement of Africans.

People of non-European descent are today marginalized in the US, which reveals the hypocrisy of the idea that the US is a melting pot.

The fact that 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 201 million live from paycheck to paycheck prove that the US is not a democracy.

The fact that the US calls the People’s Republic of China an autocracy, when she has already eradicated her poverty despite having 4 times the US’ population means that the US is instead a plutocracy!

The fact that the US wants to go to war with China, because it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence is hypocritical. The US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And, in the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned our national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million who remain live in poverty. https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k15/k154ku9q8x

And, the fact that the US today is unconditionally supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law means that it has never been the champion of human rights either!

The US is the opposite of what it says it is.

US is the biggest threat to peace!
