Can Boricuas vote our way out of colonialism?

No, because capitalism is designed to only serve oligarchs at the expense of the 99% of the people.
The following event is based on the logic that Puerto Rico could be decolonized electorally. If we agree that Puerto Rico is a colony, where is the logic for people in a colony to vote? The majority of the people believe that voting gives us representation in our government, because oligarchs have brainwashed us into believing that. They do, by owning the major mass media, and by eliminating people, like Julian Assange, who dare to tell the truth!
If the US were a real democracy, would it be unconditionally sponsoring the genocide of Palestinians?
If the US were a real democracy, would 8 of the 10 richest men in the world be US citizens, while 38 million Americans are living today in poverty, and 60% living from paycheck to paycheck?
And, if the US were a real democracy, would the US have consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans?
Voting is the strategy that oligarchs use to keep us enslaved! The 9 million Boricuas worldwide should, therefore, engage in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with international law.
Revolution is order when tyranny is the law!
