Half of the Boricuas in Boriken live in poverty due to 124 years of United States colonialism.
A community project called “Aquí Nos Cuidamos” translated, “here we take care of ourselves”, is doing its part to improve the lives of those marginalized Boricuas. Click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/8ZtF2rA_4W4
Monica, the projects director, says that it is important to ask questions, and be critical thinkers. Let all do that, and help ourselves govern Boriken for the Boricuas. Nobody needs to be marginalized!
