At odds with “We the People”

Why is a government constituted, if it is not to represent its people? That went through my mind, as I watched this video: Click on this link to watch it: https://youtu.be/NxkhUyZcZ98
The main goal of government is the protection of its citizens. The United States (US) government (USG) is obviously not doing that!
Thus, the question must be, who then is the USG representing? It is no news that Trump is more concern about the stock market than protecting US citizens. Therefore, we must conclude that it is the 1% of US citizens!
Where does that leave the 99%? “We the People” are government-less!
The USG has been at odds with Puerto Rico for the past 121 years. The USG has refused to comply with 38 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The status quo is broken for the 99% of the people, and it will stay that way unless the people fix it. We must do that together, because those who created the status quo obviously have never wanted LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL! http://www.todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/
But the People are the Sovereign.
