Are your thoughts your own?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

InfoAlDesnudo

Puerto Rico has been a colony of the United States (US) for the past 121 years. That is a long time for the US government (USG) to have put its thoughts into the minds of Puerto Ricans.

The fact that Puerto Rico continues to be a colony despite its violation to the United Nations’ (UN) Charter prohibiting it since 1945, and in violation of 38 UN resolutions asking the USG to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans, means that we are divided in our thoughts.

Many Puerto Ricans want Puerto Rico to remain a colony. Are those their own thoughts, or are they the thoughts of the USG. Do they benefit Puerto Ricans, or do they benefit the USG?

Colonialism is a crime against humanity. Are you aware that more Puerto Ricans live away from their national territory? They do, because the USG wants to get Puerto Ricans out of their homeland to make Puerto Rico its own!

We need to question everything we know, and ask ourselves, who benefits from those beliefs? That will be the way for us to build the solidarity that we will need to force the USG to comply with international law. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

We need to create our very own thoughts as a people, because those who have put enslaved thoughts in our minds don’t care about LIBERTY AND ABOUT JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Or are they your oppressors?
