Who would ever think that having the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, would do anything for the benefit of the 99% of US citizens?
While the US shuts down universities, the People’s Republic of China opens thousands of them. No wonder China has eradicated poverty despite having 4 times the US’ population. Conversely, the US has today 40 million Americans living in poverty, and 201 million living from paycheck to paycheck.
Capitalism is incongruent with democracy, because the goal of capitalists is to extract as much profit as possible. For that reason, oligarchs moved their industries abroad to take advantage of a cheaper workforce, without caring about the impoverishment of its own citizens.
With the fact that 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, the US of Oligarcy is the undisputed champion of plutocracy.
The American Dream is only for oligarchs.
