Is Puerto Rico a colony?

By José M. López Sierra

Puerto Rico has been a colony of the United States (US) for the past 126 years. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/iju8pBdbmxE

So why are Puerto Ricans getting ready to vote in colonial elections? Do they really believe that they could succeed in electing a government that will represent Puerto Ricans in a colony?

In 1953, the US told the United Nations (UN) that in 1952 Puerto Rico had obtained self-government by virtue of the so-called “Commonwealth of Puerto Rico”. That was a lie, but the UN removed Puerto Rico from its list of colonies.

Since then, two thirds of Puerto Ricans today live away from our national territory, and half of those remaining live in poverty. Does that sounds like Puerto Rico has self-government?

Since then, the US has refused to comply with 42 UN’s resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Does that sounds like the US is the champion of democracy? https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k15/k154ku9q8x

Instead of the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide engaging in permanent resistance to force that US to comply with international law, Puerto Ricans vote every 4 years in colonial elections. Is that is not brainwashing, I don’t know what brainwashing is!

De-brainwash Puerto Ricans to save themselves!
