Do Puerto Ricans want to continue being a colony?

If you were to research this question, you will find a lot of plebiscites about what political status Puerto Ricans want. These plebiscites are however invalid, because Puerto Rico is not a free nation to legitimately have them.

United States (US) chose to militarily invade Puerto Rico to make her its colony, because a democratic plebiscite would never have resulted in what it wanted to achieve! Thus, the so-called “champion of democracy” has illegally had Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 126 years! And it is also obvious that the US wants to keep it like that.

Thus, the issue isn’t what do Puerto Ricans want as expressed in illegal plebiscites, the real issue is that colonialism is illegal, and the US refuses to decolonize Puerto Rico!

The reason why the US speaks of a “Rules Based Order” (RBO) instead of international law is because the former supposedly allows the US to unilaterally do whatever it wants. Right now, for example, the US is violating the Genocide Convention and the International Court of Justice’s resolution by unconditionally supporting the artificial colonial settler regime of Israel’s genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine.

Moreover, the US is anxious to go to war against the People’s Republic of China by using the pretext that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence. That is the same right that the US has consistently denied Puerto Ricans by ignoring 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

Since the US’ RBO is actually a euphemism for the rule of the jungle, Puerto Ricans must therefore engage in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with international law!

President Kennedy said, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable”. The US has a long history of making peaceful revolutions impossible. That is why the world regards the US as the biggest to peace!

We must use the correct tactic.
