What’s wrong with the US?

By José M. López Sierra

The United States (US) is not what it says it is. The US says that it is the champion of democracy, but, the People’s Republic of China, the one that the US claims is a dictatorship, has done more for her citizens than the US.

China has eradicated her poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population. 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government, while only 33% of Americans are satisfied with ours.

Both of the two major US political party candidates in this year’s presidential elections have a history of governing exclusively for oligarchs. How do we know this?

The US has 800 military bases around the world, the war in Ukraine, the unconditional support for the artificial colonial settler state of Israel’s genocidal campaign against the indigenous people of Palestine, and the US’ hypocritical claim that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence, when it has consistently ignored 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

The most recent example of what’s wrong is that the US will host the international pariah Netanyahu at the Capitol on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in order to give him more money to kill Palestinians. A so called “democracy” committing the mother of all crimes!

A huge crowd of Americans plan to surround the Capitol to call for his arrest. The call, in my opinion, ought to be, not only for Netanyahu’s arrest, but also for Biden, Blinken, and Austin. No one should be above that law! Please click here for more: https://youtu.be/CgTb9IAGBBI

While 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60% live from paycheck to paycheck, 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

Wouldn’t you also say that something is wrong?
