New York City (NYC) used to be where most Puerto Ricans lived, when we started to emigrate outside of our national territory. How could the annual UN’s hearing to discuss Puerto Rico’s decolonization not be news, especially in NYC?
Are you aware that two thirds of Puerto Ricans live today outside of our national territory, and half of those who remain live in poverty?
It is important to note that Puerto Rico has been a United States’ (US) colony for the past 126 years. The UN, thus far, has issued 42 resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US’ “free press” does not want people to know that it is committing a crime against humanity.
The UN will issue yet another resolution exactly like all the others, after today’s hearing seen at https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i and https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k15/k154ku9q8x.
The US will ignore that one too, because it would never do anything that benefits the 99% of its citizens.
