PR statehood based on lies

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

InfoAlDesnudo

Some members of the United States (US) House of Representatives are arguing for statehood for Puerto Rico based on lies. Click on the following link to watch that video: https://youtu.be/PWuAvwn97Wc

Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 123 years. The US government (USG) is currently committing a crime against humanity, ever since the United Nations’ (UN) Charter prohibited colonialism in 1945. Moreover, the USG has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Why is this history not part of the discourse in this video? Are these US representatives oblivious of it, or are they just lying?

Puerto Ricans do not have our own government. That is evidenced by the fact that there are 5.8 million Puerto Ricans living away, while only 3.2 million have remained living in our national territory. The so-called, “Puerto Rico Government” is, in essence, the USG’s administration of its colony.

Therefore, instead of trying to make Puerto Rico the 51st state of the Union based on lies, the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide should engage instead in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Real democracy is not based on lies!
