Democracy isn’t “might makes right”

Why does the so-called “beacon of democracy”:

  1. Have only 39% of her citizens satisfied with their government, while 90% of Chinese support their government? https://news.gallup.com/poll/329279/satisfaction-sinks-aspects-public-life.aspx , https://www.chinausfocus.com/society-culture/why-chinese-people-support-their-government. Isn’t what the people say the best indicator of whether a government is democratic?
  2. Have 800 military bases around the world, while at the same time the United States (US) was the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic?
  3. Refuses to accept that Russia has the same existential threat to her national security with a North Atlantic Treaty Organization military base in Ukraine, as the US had in 1962 with Russian missiles in Cuba?
  4. Unilaterally sanctions any country that does not agree with the US government (USG)?
  5. Has never complied with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism, a crime against humanity, since 1945?
  6. Has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking the USG to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans?
  7. Have the reputation, via Gallup Polls, of being the biggest threat to peace?

The facts say that the USG represents only the interests of 1% of US citizens. This is why the USG is always at war, because it benefits the Military Industrial Complex that US President Eisenhower warned us about. US Major General Smedley Butler did too in his book “War is a Racket”. Do you know that 9 out of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens?

If the 99% of us want a real democracy, it will be up to us to make that happen. The first step is to get the correct information to then engage in permanent resistance.

Right makes right!
