Everybody is silent about PR colonialism

Puerto Ricans are protesting about their lack of reliable electrical power in Puerto Rico. In the following ABC News report, the reporter remarked, “Follow the money.” Click on the following link to watch that video: https://youtu.be/KUkOg-vZt48

ABC asked, “Where is the money?” The correct question is, where is Puerto Rico decolonization?

The United States government (USG) has maintained Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 123 years. That is a crime against humanity. Why isn’t ABC News talking about that?

Colonialism has been prohibited by the United Nations’ (UN) Charter since 1945. Therefore, the USG has never complied with the UN’s Charter.

Moreover, the USG has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Just like the US money that has never ended up in providing reliable electrical service to Puerto Ricans, Puerto Rico decolonization has never occurred either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The protesting, however, is the correct way to pressure the USG. But, it should be force the USG to comply with international law. If we were free, we could then govern Puerto Rico for ourselves, instead of for the USG. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Put our power towards Puerto Rico decolonization!

Jose M Lopez Ismael
