The following video shows a man in Chicago who is upset because a woman has a shirt about Puerto Rico. A police officer ignores the woman’s request for help, after she feels intimidated by the man. Click on this link to watch the video: https://youtu.be/VyXUjRl2dzc
United States (US) citizens don’t know their own history. This man’s behavior is representative of the 1% of US citizens who have always governed the US.
Are you aware that in 1898, the United States Government classified Puerto Ricans as an inferior race? The USG then legislated a law called the Unincorporated Territory for Puerto Rico to avoid having to extend its Constitution to Puerto Ricans.
Puerto Rico is still an Unincorporated Territory. The US Supreme Court interpreted that to mean that Puerto Rico belongs to, but is not a part of the United States. Therefore, in plain language, Puerto Rico is a US colony.
The man in the video asked the woman, Are you American citizen? This man obviously is ignorant of the fact that the USG forced its citizenship on Puerto Ricans. Puerto Ricans refused the USG’s offer of its citizenship in 1917.
This whole problem could be easily resolved, if the USG were to comply with the United Nations’ Charter which declared colonialism a crime against humanity in 1945.
Moreover, the USG has violated 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The USG refuses to comply, because it has made, and continues to make so much money from having Puerto Rico as its colony.
Join the permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the will of the international community, because those who value money over human rights don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
