US 2nd Class citizenship cemented on Boricuas

Citizens lose their citizenship for treason under normal conditions. Oscar Lopez Rivera, however, never lost his United States’ (US) citizenship after almost 36 years in prison for being convicted of seditious conspiracy to overthrow the United States Government (USG) in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico’s political relationship with the USG is not a normal one. In fact, it is illegal! Why aren’t more people talking about it?

Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 120 years. The USG forced its citizenship on Puerto Ricans in 1917. When Puerto Ricans have tried to renounce their US citizenship, the USG has tenaciously disallowed them to.

The idea behind the forced citizenship is to try to divert Puerto Ricans’ natural loyalty to Puerto Rico towards the US. Do you know that more soldiers are recruited in Puerto Rico to the US military than in any of the 50 states of the Union? Does that mean that Puerto Ricans are more patriotic to the US than the first class citizens residing in the 50 states? The fact of the matter is that since 1898, the USG has exploited Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans to the utmost! So much so, that more Puerto Ricans today live outside of their national territory. 5.4 million Puerto Ricans are in exile, while 3.4 million of us refuse to abandon our homeland.

Join the permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism, and the 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Get involved, because those who have stuck us with their own citizenship to enslave us forever don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
