Rosello said, “It’s time to put up or shut up.”

The Puerto Rico colonial administrator, Ricardo Rosello, took the opportunity in a press interview to ask those candidates running in the United States (US) midterm elections to take a stand about ending Puerto Rico’s colonial status by granting her statehood. He said that, “It is time to put up, or shut up!” Click on the following link to watch the video: https://youtu.be/wp7lDU7tFoo

Ricardo is the product of 120 years of US colonialism, where Puerto Ricans have been taught what the empire wants them to know. That, of course, is not Puerto Rico’s real history. It is the one that would make Puerto Ricans accept their colonial reality, and discourage their resistance against the United States Government (USG) to decolonize themselves. https://www.facebook.com/Maxima940/videos/263204177654558/

Ricardo is ignorant of the fact that in 1898 the USG classified Puerto Ricans as an inferior race. That was why the USG created the category of the non-incorporated territories to put Puerto Rico in. These territories are the ones that will never become a state of the Union.

Ricardo argues that a majority of Puerto Ricans have voted in 2 plebiscites for Puerto Rico statehood, but that the USG has ignored them! Ricardo has a problem understanding that as a US colony, Puerto Ricans have no right that the USG has to respect. Moreover, Ricardo’s colonized mind does not allow him to understand that the USG will never decolonize Puerto Rico, because she is a vital resource to the wealth of the US Empire.

Ricardo really believes that he is the governor of Puerto Rico. Ricardo believes that he represents the interests of Puerto Ricans. Ricardo really believes that by Puerto Rico becoming a state, Puerto Ricans would have equal rights under the US Constitution.

If Ricardo’s mind were not colonized, he would be talking about:

  1. The fact that the USG is committing a crime against humanity by having Puerto Rico as its colony since 1898.
  2. The fact that the USG signed the United Nations’ Charter that prohibits colonialism, and that it has violated the Charter since 1945 by keeping Puerto Rico as its colony.
  3. The fact that the USG has ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.
  4. Trying to create a tsunami of people to engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the democratic desire of the international community, instead of becoming the US colonial administrator of a US colony.

We must decolonize our mind, before we could engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

We must all get involved, because those who allowed 3,000 people to die unnecessarily after Hurricane Maria don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
