I wrote an article recently that the governor of Puerto Rico is the best example of a colonized mind.  Actually, in this video you will see many others who are too!

This discussion totally ignored that Puerto Rico is a colony of the United States (US), and that that constitutes a crime against humanity.  Wasn’t that the reason why the United Nations was created?

It also ignores the fact that Puerto Rico’s economic crisis is fundamentally due to the 118 years of US exploitation.

It also ignores the fact that the creation of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico was not valid under international law, because the Puerto Ricans were not free to freely vote for it.

It also ignores that you cannot expect the empire to control decolonization, because it goes against its interest to keep its colony forever.

The governor said that he was happy to have sponsored that discussion, and that more of it should be done to inform the mainland as well as the island Puerto Ricans of our situation.  This conference was not widely publicized in Puerto Rico.  Most Puerto Ricans are not fluent English speakers.  This conference was not given in Spanish in Puerto Rico.  This conference was obviously for propaganda in favor of the Popular Democratic Party.  It is obvious that the whole panel made its case for continuing with the same colonial relationship with the United States.

No one talked about the fact the Puerto Rico is in a very privileged spot on the globe with plenty of sun, wind, water, fertile land of various landforms and ideal tropical weather.  No one talked about developing industry by and for Puerto Ricans, so that we would not have to leave our beautiful paradise to find work.  What they all offered were ways to continue to benefit the United States government.

One of the speakers even went as far as saying that the most important thing that Puerto Ricans have is its United States citizenship.  He said that any other political relationship that who put that in jeopardy would be rejected by most the People of Puerto Rico.  It was interesting that he talked about rejection by the People.  When the US government offered its citizenship to Puerto Rican, it was rejected in 1914.  The US then imposed it on us in 1917!  Do you think these scholars don’t know that?

After watching this video you will be better able to understand why I insist that we will need a tsunami of people to force the US government to comply with the 35 United Nations resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico.

We do, because those who have brainwashed a nation to keep her colonized forever don’t believe in JUSTICE FOR ALL.
