Misión Boricua will host a presentation by Johnny Cordero, Founder of My Dreams Academy located in Dallas, Texas. The Academy was established in 2012 for youth and adults at high risk of not pursuing or not finishing a high school education due to poverty, family troubles, the attraction of gangs, crime, drugs and other perils of society. Mr. Cordero will introduce his highly successful Academy Program to Leaders, Public Officials and residents of Central Florida where he intends on establishing additional Academies. Johnny Cordero is an operatic tenor, composer of award-winning songs, actor, inventor, author, expert in environmental law, entrepreneur, poet, educator, and former Golden Gloves Boxer. He has earned two College degrees and Mr. Cordero’s story has been featured on national television.

 The event will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 5:30pm at Acacia Centro Borinqueño, 1865 N. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando, FL 32817. Everyone is welcome.

 Misión Boricua is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting the history, culture, and heritage of the Puerto Rican community.
