End Puerto Rico Colonialism

A Puerto Rican said in this interview with Democracy Now that Puerto Rico colonialism should end. Click on the following link to watch that interview: https://youtu.be/LwTgGizrAxc

Of course, it should end. But how?

The United States government made Puerto Rico its colony in 1898. It did not have to do that. It did, because it wanted to. Why?

The US government wanted and still wants to exploit the island and her people. Juan Gonzalez made the point that there are presently 5 million Puerto Ricans in the US. Carmen Yulín Cruz made the point that 3 million are now in their national territory. What more proof does anyone need to be convinced the colonialism only benefits the empire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRHGdhRBG1M&t=300s

Do you know that more US soldiers are recruited in Puerto Rico than any of the 50 states of the Union? Are Puerto Ricans more patriotic to the US, than citizens in 50 US states? Obviously, the lack of opportunity in their homeland is why. And they can’t even vote in US national election!

It is obvious that the US government will not decolonize Puerto Rico simply because, it is the right thing to do. It hasn’t in 120 years. It hasn’t even though the US government violates the United Nations’ (UN) Charter. It hasn’t, even though the US government is in violation to 36 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The US government is making a large profit owning Puerto Rico, and it is not willing to give her up without a fight! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Join in the permanent resistance to force the US government to comply with international law and decolonize Puerto Rico, because those who care more about profits than people don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/
